Midlands STEM Institute is a free charter school located in Winnsboro, SC. Though MSI's core is Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, also very important to us are Art, Theater, Band, and Foreign Language Instruction.

No written work will be assigned or accepted after this date.

Final MAP and USATestprep assessments

Students will be contacted about the date and time for your assessment.

The assessment will be online from home. Teachers will be monitoring assessments via Zoom.

Online School


By order of the governor of SC, all  school facilities will remain closed through May 31st, 2020. Midlands STEM's online classes officially began April 20th, 2020. These online classes will continue as long as the facility is closed. The class schedules are available here on the school website. All class schedules and access links have been emailed to parents and students. If you have not received these emails, contact Ms. Prince or Ms. McFarlan via email.

Q3 & Q4 Report Cards


This year, Quarter 3 grades will be combined with Quarter 4 grades to average out the student’s final Semester 2 grade. Molly Spearman, Superintendent of Education sent out a memorandum titled “COVID-19 Grade Reporting Guidance” to provide districts and schools with updated guidance [Read Full Letter Here].
